PARIS, May 22, 2007 (AFP) - French President Nicolas Sarkozy's step-daughter was slightly injured in Paris Tuesday when she was knocked down by a scooter, police said.

It was not immediately known which one of Cecilia Sarkozy's two daughters, Jeanne-Marie or Judith, was injured in the accident near the Champs Elysees.

The woman suffered head and neck injuries and was taken to hospital, according to a source close to the investigation.

Cecilia Sarkozy was with her daughter when the accident occurred.

Ceclia and the president have four children from their first marriages -- she two girls, he two boys -- and in 1997, they had a son of their own, Louis.
