LE GUILVINEC (AFP) - President Nicolas Sarkozy vowed Tuesday to return to Chad to bring home ten Europeans facing trial on child abduction charges over a charity's attempt to fly children to France.

Sarkozy on Sunday made a snap visit to N'Djamena to bring back three French journalists and four Spanish air hostesses who were arrested after the Zoe's Ark charity tried to fly 103 children out of Chad to France.

But six French charity volunteers, three Spaniards and a Belgian pilot remain in custody along with four Chadians.

"I will go and bring back those who stayed behind, regardless of what they have done," said Sarkozy during a visit to this Brittany port.
