SAINT PIERRE LE VIGER, France, May 29, 2007 (AFP) - French President Nicolas Sarkozy warned on Tuesday that "France will veto" negotiations at the World Trade Organization if French farming interests are threatened.

France, Europe's biggest agriculture power, has repeatedly clashed with the European Commission over making further concessions on European farm aid in the WTO trade talks.

Speaking last week in Brussels, Sarkozy said that an agreement in tough WTO negotiations would be better than a disagreement, but that others needed to make more concessions.
