PARIS, June 24 (AFP) - A strike by French print-workers blocked publication of all the national daily newspapers Thursday.

The hardline CGT union called the strike to protest against recent upheavals in the publishing industry which it says are threatening jobs.

The action came a day after Serge Dassault, head of aviation giant Dassault, took control of the media group Socpresse, which includes the daily Le Figaro and weekly news magazine L'Express.

Most newspapers were available to readers on the Internet.
