PARIS, June 26, 2007 (AFP) - French police were Tuesday investigating the death of a Spanish teenage girl who collapsed while on a roller-coaster at the Disneyland theme park outside Paris.

The 14-year-old, who was with a group of school friends, was found dead after a ride on the high-speed Rock'n'Roller Coaster on Monday.

The attraction has been closed until the cause of death is determined.

Local prosecutor Rene Pech said that it was likely the girl was suffering from an undiagnosed ailment.

"As things stand there is no reason to think the attraction itself is to blame. It's more likely there was a medical cause, but we are waiting for the results of the autopsy," he said.

A psychiatric unit was called in to counsel the girl's friends.

Disneyland spokesman Pieter Boterman said that signs outside the Rock'n'Roller Coaster warn people susceptible to emotional shocks against taking the ride.
