BOBIGNY, France, Sept 10, 2007 (AFP) - Two plastic bags containing human body parts were found Friday on the banks of a canal in a northern Paris suburb, a day after a head and torso were found in a suitcase nearby, legal sources said.

Investigators found the first plastic bag Friday morning containing a arm and a leg, according the source.  Another bag was found by passers-by in the afternoon 500 metres (yards) from where the suitcase was found.

"All the body parts appear to belong to the same man," the source said, adding that preliminary autopsy reports revealed that he had been dead "for several days."

Authorities were searching the canal for clues.
