PARIS, Dec 15 (AFP) - Paris is to get a musical taste of Christmas in Russia, hosting concerts by the choir of Saint Petersburg's Mussorgsky state opera in five of the capital's churches over the holiday period.

PARIS, Dec 15 (AFP) - Paris is to get a musical taste of Christmas in Russia, hosting concerts by the choir of Saint Petersburg's Mussorgsky state opera in five of the capital's churches over the holiday period.

The 32-strong choir under chief concert chorus master Vladimir Stolpovskikh who has conducted the choir since 1986 will give recitals from December 25-January 2.

The choir has been attached to the Saint Petersburg Mussorgsky state academic opera and ballet theatre since 1998.

Daily concerts will be held at Paris' Saint-Louis en L'Ile Church as well as at other Roman Catholic and Protestant churches in the city.
