PARIS, March 7 (AFP) - A funeral service will be held in a Paris synagogue Monday evening for the French businessman Edouard Stern who was murdered in Geneva last week, according to an announcement in Le Figaro newspaper.

PARIS, March 7 (AFP) - A funeral service will be held in a Paris synagogue Monday evening for the French businessman Edouard Stern who was murdered in Geneva last week, according to an announcement in Le Figaro newspaper.

The announcement was put in by his estranged wife and their three children, who live in New York. It said the service would take place at 6:30 pm (1730GMT) at a synagogue in the 15th arrondissement.

The subsequent burial would take place "in the strictest privacy," according to the announcement.

Stern, 50, was found in his bedroom with bullet wounds to the head and body. Swiss newspapers reported that he was wearing a latex body suit.
