RAMALLAH, West Bank, March 2 (AFP) - Palestinian premier Ahmed Qorei said Tuesday he would visit Britain, France and Norway next week for talks with senior officials in the three countries.

Speaking to reporters here, he said he would "leave in the coming week" but would not give more specific details about his schedule.

Earlier Tuesday, Norwegian officials said Qorei was expected in Oslo for a two-day visit and meetings with Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik and Foreign Minister Jan Petersen among other officials.

Last week, Qorei's office said he would travel to London in early March where he would meet with Prime Minister Tony Blair and Foreign Secretary Jack Straw.

Qorei's visit comes nine months after Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon travelled to Britain and Norway for talks with senior officials in both countries.

Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom has just ended a five-day trip to Britain and Ireland where he met with Blair and Straw and his Irish counterpart Brian Cowan, whose country currently holds the rotating presidency of the European Union.
