Obama briefed on Tunisia, France, Kuwait attacks
US President Barack Obama has been briefed on a spree of bloody terror attacks hitting Tunisia, France and Kuwait on Friday, a White House official said.
The trio of Ramadan-time attacks in three countries across three continents has been blamed on radical Islamic groups.
In France, a man was beheaded at an American-owned gas factory in the southeast of the country.
A gunman opened fire at tourists visiting a Tunisian beach resort, leaving at least 27 people dead, including foreigners.
In Kuwait City, a suicide bomber blew himself up during prayers at a Shiite mosque killing more than a dozen people, in an attack claimed by the Islamic State group.
