New rise for treaty 'no' vote in French polls

PARIS, May 26 (AFP) - Support for a "no" vote in France's EU constitutional referendum has risen by one point to 54 percent, according to an opinion poll for Le Monde, RTL and LCI television released Thursday.

PARIS, May 26 (AFP) - Support for a "no" vote in France's EU constitutional referendum has risen by one point to 54 percent, according to an opinion poll for Le Monde, RTL and LCI television released Thursday.  

The TNS Sofres/Unilog poll, carried out on May 23 and 24, was the 11th in a row showing those opposed to the constitutional treaty ahead of its supporters.  

It questioned a national sample of 1,000 people representative of the entire population aged 18 or over at their homes.
