Nepal's Supreme Court on Friday rejected an appeal by the French alleged serial killer Charles Sobhraj against his conviction for the murder of an American backpacker.

"Although there is no direct evidence, based on circumstantial evidence, we don't see any fault in the decision of the Kathmandu district court and the Patan appelate court. Therefore, we uphold their verdict," said Justice Ram Kumar Prasad Shaha.
