Mladic arrest 'triumph for international justice': Interpol
Cross-border police agency Interpol on Thursday hailed the arrest of former Bosnian Serb military chief and genocide suspect Ratko Mladic as a "triumph for international justice."
"The arrest by Serbian police of Ratko Mladic, an alleged architect of human carnage and mass murder, is a triumph for international justice," said the France-based organisation's secretary-general Ronald Noble in a statement.
He added that Interpol would continue to work with UN prosecutors to catch a remaining Serb fugitive, Goran Hadzic, "wherever in the world he might be," and hand him to the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
