Missing French aid workers' car found in Yemen: government
The car of three French aid workers missing in Yemen has been found undamaged, the French foreign ministry confirmed Monday, adding this supported fears that they have been kidnapped.
"The vehicle of the members of the Triangle NGO have been found. It is not damaged. That supports the theory of a kidnapping," ministry spokesman Bernard Valero told AFP.
Earlier a Yemeni security official had reported that their car was found about 20 kilometres (12 miles) from Shibam, a city known as the "Manhattan of the Desert" because of its mud-brick high-rise buildings.
The three have been missing since Saturday in Hadramawt, a vast southeastern desert province.
