The French state is not planning to take a stake in automaker PSA Peugeot Citroen, the finance ministry told AFP on Friday shortly after Budget Minister Jerome Cahuzac had said that this was a possibility to help the company.

"The involvement of the state in the capital of PSA (Peugeot Citroen) is not on the agenda," a source close to Economy and Finance Minister Pierre Moscovici told AFP.
