Michael Jackson gloves to fit devoted dance game fans
Ubisoft is fanning the flames of Michael Jackson dance game euphoria with limited-edition sequin-studded gloves like those worn by the late King of Pop.
Ubisoft worked with Jackson's estate on a special edition glove to be included with US launch-day copies of an eagerly anticipated "Michael Jackson: The Experience" title for play on Nintendo Wii consoles.
"If you get there on the first day, you will probably get a glove," Ubisoft senior vice president of sales and marketing Tony Key said.
Copies of the Wii Jackson game boxed with gloves can be pre-ordered. The videogame will be priced at 49.99 dollars when it is released in the United States on November 23.
Versions of the videogame will also be available on Nintendo DS and Sony PSP handheld game devices.
The French videogame star also revealed more of the playlist, which includes Jackson megahits such as "Thriller" and "Rock With You."
"We have pretty much every great dance song from Michael in this game," Key said. "It is going to be pretty comprehensive."
The game combines Jackson's music with his renowned dance moves, calling on players to learn and emulate the King of Pop's techniques.
Players will also be able to sing along to Jackson songs including "Billie Jean" and "Beat It," and have their vocal performances rated by the game.
A version being made for Kinect gesture-based controls for Microsoft Xbox 360 consoles will use cameras to put players virtually into the game with Jackson.
The Jackson dance game is also being tailored for play using Move motion-sensing controls for the Sony PlayStation 3 console. Kinect and Move versions of the game are due out early next year.
Jackson died at the age of 50 on June 25 last year.
