PARIS, March 25 (AFP) - A 24-strike Friday by the main union on the Paris metro system will cause only slight disruption, the state-owned RATP said Thursday.

There will be "light disturbances, varying according to the line" on the metro network, while the RER suburban service will operate normally, the RATP said.

The CGT union called for a stoppage from 5.00 a.m. Friday to demand pay rises and to protest against a "degradation of working conditions."
