Man found dead after Nanterre bar blast

NANTERRE, France, June 13 (AFP) - A man was killed and another injured Monday when an explosion believed to be deliberately set off blew apart a bar in the western Paris suburb of Nanterre before dawn, police said.

NANTERRE, France, June 13 (AFP) - A man was killed and another injured Monday when an explosion believed to be deliberately set off blew apart a bar in the western Paris suburb of Nanterre before dawn, police said.  

The body of the dead man was found in the rubble hours after the blast destroyed the establishment, Le Petit Rose, at 2.30 am.  

The injured man, whose identity and reason for being at the address were not given, suffered fractures to his legs.  

A police officer said the source of the explosion was as yet undetermined but was "likely of criminal origin".
