London beats Paris for international investment

PARIS, June 7 (AFP) - London was last year the most attractive region in Europe for international investment, followed by Catalonia in Spain and Paris, a study by the Paris chamber of commerce and industry revealed here Monday.

PARIS, June 7 (AFP) - London was last year the most attractive region in Europe for international investment, followed by Catalonia in Spain and Paris, a study by the Paris chamber of commerce and industry revealed here Monday.

The annual study of 13 major cities found that greater London attracted 112 international enterprises last year against 82 for Catalonia and 49 for the Paris and its Ile-de-France area.

The other cities in the study were Budapest, 29, Dusseldorf, 23, Brussels, 20, Madrid, 19, Dublin, 16, Frankfurt, 14, Amsterdam, 13, Milan, 11, Berlin, five, and Geneva, five.
