CANNES, France, May 27, 2007 (AFP) - A Romanian film about an abortion won Cannes' Palme d'Or prize Sunday. Here is the list of the winners of all the awards handed out at the film festival's closing ceremony:

CANNES, France, May 27, 2007 (AFP) - A Romanian film about an abortion won Cannes' Palme d'Or prize Sunday. Here is the list of the winners of all the awards handed out at the film festival's closing ceremony:

  • Palme d'Or for best film: "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days" by Cristian Mungui (Romania)
  • Grand Prix runner-up: "The Mourning Forest" by Naomi Kawase (Japan)
  • Jury Prize third place: shared between "Persepolis" by Marjane Satrapi (Iran) and Vincent Paronnaud (France), and "Silent Light" by Carlos Reygadas (Mexico)
  • Special 60th anniversary prize: Gus Van Sant (US), who presented "Paranoid Park"
  • Best Actor: Konstantin Lavronenko (Russia), for his role in the film "The Banishment"
  • Best Actress: Jeon Do-yeon (South Korea), for her role in "Secret Sunshine"
  • Best Director: Julian Schnabel (US), for "The Diving Bell and Butterfly"
  • Best Script: "The Edge of Heaven" by German-born Turkish director Fatih Akin
  • Best Short Film: "Watching It Rain" by Elisa Miller (Mexico)
  • Camera d'Or for best first film: "Meduzot" by Etgar Keret (Israel)
