PERPIGNAN, France, April 15 (AFP) - French aircaft and ships were Thursday searching Mediterranean waters for the bodies of three people killed when two small planes involved in locating tuna collided the day before.

A total of five people - three French nationals, a Moroccan and person of as-yet unknown nationality - died in the accident, in which two Cessnas, one French and one Spanish, flew into each other around 70 kilometres (40 miles) off the French coast, officials said.

Two of the bodies were recovered Wednesday, soon after the collision.
