PARIS, June 1 (AFP) - An interview with US First Lady Laura Bush will be broadcast by French television on Wednesday night, four days before her husband joins international leaders for celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of the Allied landing in Normandy, the public TV network said Tuesday.

France 2 evening news presenter David Pujadas interviewed Laura Bush in Washington.

Born November 4, 1946, Laura Bush was a librarian and school teacher who puts strong stock in reading and a solid elementary education.

France on Tuesday boosted a security plan to protect the 17 heads of state and government who will be attending the weekend ceremonies in northwest France.
