Italy extradites suspected 'jihadist' to France: official
A French "jihadist" arrested in southern Italy after allegedly returning from militant camps in the Afghan-Paksistani border area was extradited to France on Monday, judicial officials said.
Ryad Hannouni, who was born in the Paris suburbs, was arrested in Naples in early September following intelligence reports that European-born extremists were returning from the war zone to plan attacks in their homelands.
He appeared before a French anti-terrorist magistrate on Monday afternoon for questioning after being flown back to Charles-de-Gaulle airport outside the French capital and handed over to police officers.
