Italian police arrest fugitive mafia boss in France
Italian police arrested a fugitive mafia boss in southern France at the weekend with the help of their French counterparts, the anti-crime unit said Monday.
Roberto Cima, on the Italian interior ministry's most-wanted list, has been sentenced to 21 years and six months in jail for murder. He has also been implicated in drug trafficking.
With the help of French gendarmes in Marseille, Italian police arrested the Calabrian fugitive on Saturday in Vallauris, the unit said in a statement.
Many families linked to the Calabrian mafia Ndrangheta lived in the area, it said.
Cima, 52, was found living in a modest home with a dog.
