Inflation in France at 2.0 pct

PARIS, Dec 22 (AFP) - French consumer prices rose by 2.0 percent in the 12 months to November, down from 2.1 percent in October, the INSEE statistics institute said on Wednesday.

PARIS, Dec 22 (AFP) - French consumer prices rose by 2.0 percent in the 12 months to November, down from 2.1 percent in October, the INSEE statistics institute said on Wednesday.

Prices in November were unchanged from the October figure which had risen by 0.3 percent from September.

INSEE also reported that industrial production prices fell by 0.2 percent in November on a monthly basis to show a 12-month increase of 3.1 percent.

The European Central Bank which controls monetary policy in the eurozone, has set a medium-term ceiling target for inflation of 2.0 percent.
