PARIS, June 11, 2007 (AFP) - French industrial production fell sharply in April, declining 0.8 percent after a 0.2 percent gain in March, the statistics institute INSEE reported Monday.

Manufacturing production, which excludes energy and food and agriculture-based industries, dropped 0.5 percent in April after a 0.1 percent decline in March.
