'Honorable' Strauss-Kahn won't skip bail: attorney
Dominique Strauss-Kahn is an "honorable man" who will not skip bail if he is allowed out of jail while facing sexual assault charges in New York, the former IMF chief's attorney said Thursday.
"He is an honorable man. He will appear in court," defense lawyer William Taylor told a Manhattan judge during a new bail hearing for Strauss-Kahn.
Taylor said the defense was "proposing the most restrictive possible conditions" -- under effective house arrest in a New York city apartment -- to ensure Strauss-Kahn gets bail, and that it was "ludicrous" to say the former French finance minister was a flight risk.
