SAINT-ETIENNE, France, March 29 (AFP) - A 35-year-old German pilot died late Sunday when his light plane crashed near Feurs in the southeastern region of Loire, rescue services said.

SAINT-ETIENNE, France, March 29 (AFP) - A 35-year-old German pilot died late Sunday when his light plane crashed near Feurs in the southeastern region of Loire, rescue services said.

Achim Wolf from Oderndorf, who was alone in the two-seater, died when the glider-tower crashed beside a pond near Chambeon airfield for unknown reasons.

Five other Germans with Wolf who had come to practise gliding in the Loire region were being treated for shock by a psychologist.
