A shipment of nuclear waste that attracted massive protests on its way from France arrived on Tuesday at its final destination in Germany, an AFP reporter at the scene said.

The 11 containers, carrying 123 tonnes of highly radioactive waste, which left France by train on Friday, arrived in lorries at the Gorleben storage facility in northern Germany, accompanied by a large police presence.
