French rugby captain Pelous joins elite '100 club'

MARCOUSSIS, France, March 8 (AFP) - France captain Fabien Pelous was, as expected, handed his 100th cap for Saturday's Six Nations clash with Grand Slam contenders Ireland when the team was announced here on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old lock joins a select band of players to break the mark, joining England's Jason Leonard (114), compatriot Philippe Sella (111), and Australians George Gregan (106) and David Campese (101).

The starting line-up features two changes from the one that lost 24-18 to Wales 10 days ago with Cedric Heymans coming in on the wing for the injured Aurelien Rougerie while Ludovic Valbon replaces another injury victim Damien Traille in the centre.
