AMIENS, France, Sept 13 (AFP) - A group of 42 British students stuck on a motorway after their coach broke down found French police turning taxi drivers for them so they didn't have to spend the night by the roadside, officers said Tuesday.

The students, aged between 15 and 18, were driven to a nearby all-night restaurant in a lay-over near Amiens, in northern France, by a convoy of patrol cars so they could safely wait there for a replacement bus which took them on to their destination of Barcelona, Spain.
