French new car registrations up by 18 pct

PARIS, Dec 1 (AFP) - New car registrations in France, boosted by a wave of promotion campaigns, rose 18 percent in November from the same period a year earlier to 176,090 units, manufacturers association CCFA said Wednesday.

PARIS, Dec 1 (AFP) - New car registrations in France, boosted by a wave of promotion campaigns, rose 18 percent in November from the same period a year earlier to 176,090 units, manufacturers association CCFA said Wednesday.

Renault saw new car registrations rise 22.8 percent, while Peugeot had a13.3 percent gain, CCFA said.

New car registrations had fallen eight percent in October.
