PARIS, Nov 30 (AFP) - French flight attendants said Tuesday they would strike December 9 and 10 to protest changes at a European level that would make their training the responsibility of airlines rather than France's state civil aviation authority, as is now the case.

The two unions covering the majority of flight attendants, the SNPNC and the Unac, said the stoppage was timed to coincide with the date the new EU regulation was to be presented in Brussels.

"If an airline disappears, the training of the flight attendants it employs will no longer be valid," said Hubert Descamps, the head of the Unac.
