PARIS, Sept 6 (AFP) - France should see economic growth of 0.6 percent in the third quarter and 0.5 percent in the last quarter of this year, according to a leading indicator published Monday by the French bank CDC Ixis.

The bank raised its third-quarter forecast by 0.1 percentage points, while providing an initial estimate for the last three months of the year.

The economy has already locked in growth of at least 2.2 percent for 2004, it added.

"Including the forecast (for the third and fourth quarters), growth in 2004 would be 2.5 percent," the bank said in a statement.
