The French economy will grow by 1.5 percent this year, two percent in 2011 and 2.5 percent a year from 2012 to 2014, under forecasts in the budget unveiled on Wednesday.

As France emerges from the global economic turndown, inflation is set to be a moderate 1.5 percent in 2010 and 2011, before rising slightly to 1.75 percent per year from 2012 to 2014, the budget said.

As a result, purchasing power is set to rise 1.2 percent this year and 1.6 percent in 2011, after 2009 prices stagnated during the financial crisis.
