PARIS, Jan 17 (AFP) - More than 60 French singers including rocker Johnny Hallyday and crooner Charles Aznavour have recorded a new single to raise money for the Indian Ocean tsunami relief effort, recording label Sony-BMG announced Monday.

"Et puis la terre" (And then the earth), a song written by French singer-actor Patrick Bruel, will be broadcast on the radio from Thursday and will be available in record stores from January 31.

"All proceeds from sales and any donations collected in connection with the song will be given to those associations providing emergency aid and working on reconstruction projects in south Asia," Sony-BMG said in a statement.
