PARIS, July 9 (AFP) - French actor Jean Lefebvre, one of the country's best-known and best-loved actors, died overnight of a heart attack on vacation in Marrakesh, Morocco, at the age of 84, his wife told AFP Friday.

The star of numerous films, he was perhaps best known for his role in the 1963 Georges Lautner comedy "Les Tontons Flingueurs", a spoof on French crime thrillers that today holds cult status as one of the classics of French cinema.
