France raises 2011 inflation forecast to 2.1%
The French government has raised its inflation forecast for this year to 2.1 percent from 1.8 percent, according to a draft national health insurance system budget presented on Thursday.
The 2011 national budget adopted at the end of least year had been based on a rise in consumer prices of 1.5 percent, but a soaring oil and commodities prices led the government to raise the forecast for a first time in March.
The health insurance system budget forecasts 1.7 percent inflation next year.
