France has slightly raised its 2010 growth forecast to 1.5 percent, Prime Minister Francois Fillon said Friday.

"We should have growth of at least 1.5 percent in 2010," he said, during a visit to a factory in eastern France, raising an earlier forecast of a 1.4 percent increase in GDP over the year.

The government has said second-quarter growth is likely to be better than expected. Last month, France cut its growth forecast for 2011 to two percent from 2.5 percent.
