France expresses solidarity with UK after attacks

ANTANANARIVO, July 21 (AFP) - French President Jacques Chirac on Thursday expressed France's "solidarity and support" for the British people and its determination to "fight terrorism together" following a new spate of attacks in London.

ANTANANARIVO, July 21 (AFP) - French President Jacques Chirac on Thursday expressed France's "solidarity and support" for the British people and its determination to "fight terrorism together" following a new spate of attacks in London.

"I wish to express to the British people and to Prime Minister Tony Blair the solidarity and support of France, and I want to reiterate our determination to fight terrorism together," he said in the Madagascan capital Antananarivo, where he began an official visit Thursday.
