France condemns twin Baghdad bomb attacks

Bernard Kouchner expressed his condemnation of of Sunday's attacks.

PARIS- France condemned Sunday twin suicide car bomb attacks in Baghdad that killed at least 99 people, and expressed its solidarity with the Iraqi people.

"I condemn with the utmost firmness the double suicide attack perpetrated today in Baghdad," said Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner in a statement. "In this dramatic ordeal, France assures the people and the government of Iraq of its full solidarity."

Twin suicide vehicle bombs blamed on Al-Qaeda shattered the justice ministry and a provincial office in Baghdad on Sunday, killing at least 99 people and wounding more than 700 others.
