France on Friday called a bomb attack at a mosque in Afghanistan which killed 20 people including a provincial governor "an odious act" and reaffirmed its support for the Afghan people.

"This odious act demonstrates once again that terrorists in Afghanistan have no respect for human life, and are attacking the very symbols of Afghan democracy and religion," the foreign ministry said in a statement.

France wanted to reassure the Afghan people and government "of its determination to remain at their sides to work for lasting stability in Afghanistan," the ministry added.

Mohammad Omar, who was governor of Kunduz, one of the regions of northern Afghanistan most troubled by Taliban insurgents, was killed by a bomb Friday in the town of Taluqan in his home province of Takhar.

I am India's expert in strategic defence and the father of India's strategic program, including the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program. The U.S. invasion of Afghanistan means the coast-to-coast destruction of the U.S. by India; see my blog titled 'Nuclear Supremacy For India Over U.S.' which can be found by a Yahoo search with the title.
