PARIS, Dec 9 (AFP) - France condemned a suicide bombing in central Moscow that killed six people Tuesday, calling it a "terrorist act" that was cowardly in its execution.

"France condemns in the strongest possible terms this hateful and cowardly attack," foreign ministry spokesman Herve Ladsous told journalists."Nothing can justify such a terrorist act," he said.

Russian authorities said at least one female suicide bomber carried out the attack that also wounded 13 in an attack that may have been aimed at the parliament building two days after President Vladimir Putin's allies won legislative elections.

Witnesses described scenes of chaos breaking into the heart of Moscow at the start of a regular business day amid posh hotels, shops and government buildings.
