Four French climbers killed in Italian Alps

ROME, July 8 (AFP) - Four French mountain climbers fell to their deaths and two others were injured in an accident in the Italian Alps, the Ansa news agency said Thursday.

ROME, July 8 (AFP) - Four French mountain climbers fell to their deaths and two others were injured in an accident in the Italian Alps, the Ansa news agency said Thursday.

It said rescuers, who arrived by helicopter, found the bodies of the four late Thursday on Mont Rose, in northwest Italy.

The two injured climbers were taken to hospital in the nearby town of Aosta.
