PARIS, March 20, 2008 - Two fans of French club Metz were banned
Wednesday for three months from the club's ground after being found guilty of
making "extremist gestures" of a racist nature, the club said.
They "proffered extremist gestures and words" following the match with
Valenciennes on February 23, the Metz prefectural office said.
On Tuesday the Metz public prosecutor had additionally called for a
three-month suspended jail term for the pair for shouting abuse at
Valenciennes' Moroccan skipper Abdeslam Ouaddou.
