PARIS, March 25 (AFP) - France coach Jacques Santini ignored Nicolas Anelka's plea to be forgiven when he named his squad Thursday for a friendly international against Holland next week.

The Manchester City striker, who had vowed never to play for Santini, has changed his mind and publicly apologised.

Anelka may be out of the running for the Holland friendly but Santini has not ruled out his being summoned to appear for France in the future.

"Given that he's received a pre-selection letter he is once again eligible to be picked," Santini told a press conference.

Lyon's Congo-born Peguy Luyindula keeps his place in the squad but with both Thierry Henry and David Trezeguet back there is no place for Manchester United's Louis Saha who scored in the 2-0 win over Belgium last month.

Werder Bremen midfielder Johan Micoud is recalled for the first time since the 2-0 2002 World Cup defeat to Denmark.

Wednesday's Rotterdam match is their last before France begin their defence of the European title against England in Portugal on June 13.France squad:
