Family of four found dead in Corsica resort
A family of four, including two children aged 10 and 11, were found dead with bullet wounds Monday in a resort in the French island of Corsica, public prosecutor Julie Colin said.
A murder investigation was launched to determine the exact circumstances of the incident, which took place in Algajola, a holiday resort in northern Corsica.
The bodies were found on the ground floor of a small building on the beachfront.
One source close to the probe said it appeared the father had shot his family before turning the gun on himself.
The father is reported to have sent a letter to the local interior ministry official warning him of his intention to kill his family and commit suicide.
