PARIS, April 6 (AFP) - Business confidence in the 12-nation eurozone deteriorated in March, with a key indicator falling to its lowest reading in a year, the French statistics institute INSEE reported Wednesday.

The indicator dropped to 103 in March from 104 in February and 107 in January but is still above its long-term average, INSEE said.

Business leaders were particularly pessimistic about recent economic momentum and voiced concern about sales price prospects in the next few months.

In addition they were less optimistic in March compared with February about their order books.

INSEE also found that eurozone consumer confidence had weakened, notably in France and Germany.
