PARIS, April 22 (AFP) - Roger Burge, financial director of Eurotunnel, has decided to leave the company for "personal reasons", the French-British operator of the Channel tunnel said in a statement Thursday.

Herve Huas, deputy chief executive, is to assume responsibility for the financial restructuring of the group, while Claude Lienard is to become operational finance director, the company said.

The previous board of the company was axed earlier this month following a shareholder revolt.

The new management has given itself three months to come up with a strategy to rescue the group which is struggling under debt of about EUR 9 billion (USD 10.7 billion).
