LONDON, May 15, 2006 (AFP) - High-speed Eurostar trains which link London with Paris and Brussels were running as normal again Monday, a day after a fire caused long delays for thousands of travellers, a Eurostar spokesman said.

The fire on Sunday close to a rubbish depot near Waterloo station, Eurostar's terminal in the British capital, left the southern town of Ashford as the only point where passengers could board and disembark.

Eurostar usually carries some 20,000 passengers on a Sunday afternoon.
